Leaving Shenandoah (and on our way to Charlotte) we stopped at the Natural Bridge and did a twenty mile stint on the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, most of the Parkway was still closed so we didn’t get to experience much of it.
Following the Parkway, we drove through southern Virginia and most of North Carolina before arriving at my Aunt Joanne and Uncle Ben’s house outside of Charlotte. Where our plan was to stay with them for a three night visit, and go to the Seahawks versus Panthers game (our first away game).
Seahawks Away Game
The game was great! And the Seahawks squeaked out a win on a sunny day at the stadium.
We had an amazing visit with family, catching up, going for walks and just spending some quality time.
Even though we weren’t with family on Thanksgiving it was especially nice being with them around the Holidays.
After loading up on groceries we set out to cross the Great Smoky Mountains before the snow came!
