Holy smokes! Mountain biking the Guacamole Mesa near Zion National Park is now our favorite ride in the Hurricane (area) trail system!
Guacamole Mesa offers so much fun tech that allows you to push your mountain biking skills, and see amazing views!
How Guacamole Mesa Rides
Don’t worry, you can walk anything that you aren’t comfortable riding. Although there aren’t a lot of ride-a-rounds. This just means that you’ll have to see the feature and make a decision if you want to ride it.
Also, there’s not much exposure to worry about. Unless you make really bad choices! Like ride off the trail toward the massive cliffs
Guacamole Mesa Stats
Mileage: 10.7 miles
Time: 1 hour and 36 minutes
Direction: Multiple (see Trailforks)
Climb: 652 feet
Getting to the trail
You do not need four wheel drive to get up to the trailhead. Just know the road is kind of steep and only wide enough for a single car/van in places. DO NOT drive a class a RV up this road!
Another bit of coolness, you can camp right at the trailhead. Just keep in mind that the cell service for Verizon and AT&T isn’t good enough to do any work. It’s possible that you find more luck with a StarLink though?
