🚀 Specialized Turbo Levo 4 Series
Specialized has revamped its Turbo Levo series with impressive specs.
Build Options
- S-Works Turbo Levo 4: 111Nm torque, 720W peak power, 840Wh battery. Approx. 23.68 kg (52 lbs). $13,499.99
- Turbo Levo 4 Pro: 101Nm torque, 666W peak power, 840Wh battery. Approx. 23.94 kg (52 lbs 12.5 oz). $10,999.99
- Turbo Levo 4 Expert: 101Nm torque, 666W peak power, 840Wh battery. Approx. 24.41 kg (53 lbs 14 oz). $9,499.99
- Turbo Levo 4 Comp: 101Nm torque, 666W peak power, 840Wh battery. Approx. 24.42 kg (53 lbs 15 oz). $7,999.99
Motor: Specialized 2.2 Custom-tuned motor (model-dependent)
Battery: 840Wh integrated battery across all models
Suspension: 160mm front / 150mm rear
What’s Awesome:
- NEW Fox Genie shock is great!
- Integrated computer screen is one of the best on the market!
- Specialized has been in the eMTB game for a long time with a great track record.
- Removable batteries! So you could get a 600Wh battery, make the bike lighter for most of your rides, and have the 800Wh on standby for your super long days.
Not My Favorite:
- Expensive and heavy!
- To get the wireless SRAM T-Type Transmission you have to fork up $9.5k for the Expert build.
- At 52-53 pounds it’s the heaviest eMTB of the bunch, with only the Ibis Oso in the same heavyweight class.
⚡️ Transition Regulator – CX

Transition has entered the eMTB scene with the Regulator! With similar looks to Transitions (recently released) Sentinel, this bike has a lot going for it!
- Regulator CX: Bosch Performance Line CX motor (85Nm), 600Wh fixed battery. Approx. 21.77 kg (47 lbs). $8,999 XT Build – $6,999 Deore Build (49 lbs.).
Motor: Bosch Performance Line CX
Battery: 600Wh
Suspension: 160mm front / 150mm rear
What’s Awesome:
- The lightest of the full powered enduro e-bikes on this list at 47 pounds.
- The longer chainstays should provide a more planted and trustworthy front end.
- Most interesting geometry of the bunch!
- TRP EVO Pro brakes!
- One of the best looking eMTB’s you can buy! Meaning it doesn’t look like an e-Bike.
Not My Favorite:
- The builds suck! The $7k build comes with a VERY low end suspension and drivetrain, and the highest end ($9k) option sports a Shimano XT drivetrain. If I’m going to pay $9k for a new bike… It better come with wireless shifting! This is one of the most interesting bikes on this list, but I’m not sure I could overcome the terrible build options to actually buy one.

⚡️ Transition Regulator – SX
Regulator SX: Bosch Performance Line SX motor (55Nm), 400Wh battery. Approx. 19.41 kg (41 lbs). $8,999 for the XT Build – $6,999 Deore Build.
Motor: Bosch Performance Line SX
Battery: 400Wh
Suspension: 160mm front / 150mm rear
What’s Awesome:
- The Bosch Performance SX motor is really smooth, and even very powerful when you want it to be.
- 41 pounds a is VERY attractive eMTB weight!
- TRP EVO Pro brakes!
- This is currently the MOST FUN eMTB that we’ve ridden!!! By far! In our test, we got 4200 ft of elevation and 22 miles riding in eMTB+ mode.
- This bike feels like a fun non e-bike! It’s the first eMTB that I would hit any jump that I’d hit on my Rocky Mountain Altitude.
Not My Favorite:
- The 400Wh battery can leave people wanting more when it comes to range. But could be perfect for a lighter rider. Bikers Edge said he got around 2200 feet of vert in boost mode on this bike. We got over 4200 feet of vert in eMTB+.
- Same as the CX, the build options are very disappointing when it comes to drivetrain options.
- *UPDATED* No geo adjustment flip chip like the CX to make the bike slacker. I didn’t think this was a big deal, but I liked riding the CX bike better in the lower/slacker position on steeper terrain. **I reached out to Transition about this and they pointed me to an Offset Shock Hardware kit (M8.1×30) that will achieve the same geometry as the CX flip chip.

🧨 Norco Sight VLT CX

Norco has managed to reduce the weight of their Sight VLT by 20% while incorporating a larger 800Wh battery. It utilizes Bosch’s latest Performance Line CX system, providing robust power and torque in a high pivot package.
Build Options:
- C1: GX Eagle AXS Transmission, RockShox Lyrik Ultimate, Crank Brothers Synthesis Carbon Enduro wheels. 21.8 kg (48 lbs). $9,999
- C2: S1000 Transmission, RockShox Lyrik Select+, WTB KOM Team rims. 22.2 kg (49 lbs). $7,999
- C3: Shimano Deore, RockShox Lyrik Select, WTB ST i30 rims. 22.7 kg (50 lbs). $6,699
Motor: Bosch Performance Line CX (Gen 4)
Battery: 800Wh Bosch Powertube
Suspension: 160mm front / 150mm rear
What’s Awesome:
- High pivot design that works really well!
- The C2 build at $8k is a solid choice with great components!
- Size specific chainstays (rear center) for ALL sizes!
- One of the best looking eMTB’s!
Not My Favorite:
- Although the high pivot can make a bike feel planted, it will also feel lethargic to those that like snappy, short chainstay bikes.
- Norco has longer reaches that most, so figuring out your size could require riding a few different bikes.

What’s Awesome:
- LOTS of build options and the ability to change components to your liking!
- Lots of adjustability!
- They offer some transparency around range on their website.
- At $8k, their Elite build includes RockShox Ultimate level suspension, SRAM GX wireless Transmission, AND TRP DHR Pro brakes!
- Transferable lifetime warranty!
Not My Favorite:
- They are adding the tariffs to their prices, so get ready to pay and extra 30’ish percent.
- The downtube still looks pretty big and can’t be mistaken as an eMTB.
🦍 Ibis Oso 1.1
Ibis has updated the Oso with a stiffer frame and improved integration of controls, including a refined carbon layup and sleeker Bosch system integration. It continues to be a long-travel eMTB focused on descending performance, with a 170mm fork and 155mm of rear travel using the DW-Link suspension platform. The 1.1 version features a larger 750Wh Bosch Powertube battery (625Wh in size Small), and a new Bosch System Controller integrated into the top tube for a cleaner cockpit.
- Suspension: 170mm front / 155mm rear (adjustable to 170mm rear with longer shock)
- Weight: Approx. 24 kg (52.9 lbs)
- Price: $5,999
Motor: Bosch Performance Line CX
Battery: Bosch 750Wh Powertube (625Wh on Small)
Suspension: 170mm front / 155mm rear
What’s Awesome:
- GREAT price! Best of the bunch! With a $6k build that INCLUDES the SRAM GX Transmission, and Fox Performance level suspension!
Not My Favorite:
- The rear end of the bike looks polarizing. You might love it, but we think it’s very strange looking.
- The only build you can get is great BUT it comes with Shimano XT brakes. These are brakes we’ve ridden and wouldn’t ride again due to moving bite points.
🌟 Revel ReRun (Released April 8, 2025)
Revel Bikes has unveiled their first eMTB, the Revel ReRun, designed to offer a balanced ride with modern geometry and advanced components. Key features include:
- Suspension: 165mm of rear travel utilizing the Canfield Balance Formula (CBF) suspension design, paired with a 170mm fork. This setup aims to provide excellent traction, control, and confidence on descents.
- Motor and Battery: Bosch Performance Line SX motor (55Nm), Bosch Compact PowerTube 400Wh battery.
- Frame and Geometry: Full carbon, 64° head tube angle, mixed wheel setup, size-specific chainstays.
- Build Options:
- Treeline: RockShox ZEB Select+, SRAM Eagle 90. Approx. 20.9 kg (46.1 lbs). $8,999
- Summit: RockShox ZEB Ultimate, SRAM XO Transmission. Approx. 20.4 kg (44.9 lbs). $10,999
Motor: Bosch Performance Line SX (55Nm torque)
Battery: 400Wh Bosch Compact Powertube
Suspension: 170mm front / 165mm rear
What’s Awesome:
- CBF suspension design can be AWESOME!! I’ve owned a Rascal, and loved it!
Not My Favorite:
- CBF suspension felt really weird on the Rail 29. I owned one for a year and sold it.
- We don’t know what the range of the 400Wh battery will be, and wonder if it will be enough to get the 4k of vert you want from an eMTB…
- REVEL BIKES ANNOUNCED they will be going out of business, and there is no word if this bike will even be released.
🧙♂️ Forbidden Druid LitE & CorE (Released April 2025)
Forbidden has officially joined the eMTB space with two electrified versions of their popular trail bike (the Druid): the Druid LitE and the Druid CorE. Both models feature Forbidden’s distinctive high-pivot Trifecta suspension and proportional geometry, now paired with powerful, fully integrated DJI motor systems.
Druid LitE:
- Use: All-Mountain
- Suspension: 140mm rear / 150mm front
- Motor: DJI Avinox M1 (105Nm torque, 850W power)
- Battery: 600Wh
- Wheel Size: MX (29″ front / 27.5″ rear)
Build Options and Pricing:
- Druid LitE 1: Approximately $14,899 CAD
- Druid LitE 2: Approximately $12,499 CAD
- Druid LitE 3: Approximately $11,399 CAD
Druid CorE:
- Use: All-Mountain
- Suspension: 150mm rear / 160mm front
- Motor: DJI Avinox M1 (105Nm torque, 850W power)
- Battery: 800Wh
- Wheel Size: MX (29″ front / 27.5″ rear)
Build Options and Pricing:
- Druid CorE 1: Approximately $15,399 CAD
- Druid CorE 2: Approximately $12,999 CAD
- Druid CorE 3: Approximately $11,899 CAD
Both bikes are designed to deliver aggressive, pedal-efficient performance for big mountain days, blending Forbidden’s proven handling with modern e-bike power.
What’s Awesome:
- The DJI motor is arguably the best in class performance AND has a touchscreen, making it feel more in-line with today’s tech norms.
- Size specific chainstays (rear center) that are nice and long!
- If you were to buy the LitE 2, you’re getting a solid build with SRAM AXS and decent RockShox suspension for under $9k USD.
- If this bike feels anything like the Druid v2, it’s going to be a BANGER!!! The Druid v2 is the most fun bike I’ve ridden in the last year (read the post here)!
Not My Favorite:
- The LitE comes in at 45 pounds, which still isn’t that light. But with a 600Wh battery, if the range is great… This could end up being a HIGHLIGHT, and a really light full powered bike.
- There is no info (that we can find) about the batteries being removable or not, which leads us to believe that they are not removable. This is a CON because it means you cannot fly with the bikes or swap in extra batteries for longer days.
- Prices are only in Canadian due to the US tariff debacle, so who knows how much they will cost in the US

Santa Cruz Bullit (2025)
The Santa Cruz Bullit is a long-travel, full-powered e-MTB designed for aggressive enduro and downhill riding. It features a mixed-wheel setup (29” front, 27.5” rear) and 170mm of travel front and rear. The Bullit is equipped with a Bosch Performance Line CX motor delivering 85Nm of torque, powered by a 600Wh integrated battery.
Build Options and Pricing:
- Bullit 90: $8,599 USD
- Bullit GX AXS: $9,599 USD
- Bullit X0 AXS RSV: $11,899 USD
All models come with Santa Cruz’s renowned carbon frames and are built to handle the most demanding trails. The Bullit is a Class 1 e-bike, offering pedal-assist up to 20 mph.
Motor: Bosch Performance Line CX
Battery: Bosch Performance 600Wh
Suspension: 170mm front / 170mm rear
What’s Awesome:
- Bigger version of the Santa Cruz Vala for those that wanted more of a monster truck.
- Still kind of lighter at just above 49 pounds.
Not My Favorite:
- Some would like a bigger battery for a bigger bike.
- Reviewers say that it rides like a monster truck.
- They are higher priced for similar build specs as other brands.

YT Decoy SN 29
YT released the Decoy SN last year to a few raving reviews. The bike was called “the most non e-bike feeling e-bike on the market”. Now with this new confusing named release of the Decoy “29”, YT has basically made a trail version of the Decoy. I know, a lot to understand.
Build options and pricing:
- Core 2: $6,499
- Core 3: $7,499 – RockShox Ultimate + WIRED Transmission
- Core 4: $8,999 – Fox Factory – X0 AXS Transmission
Motor: Fazua Ride 60
Battery: Fazua 480Wh
Suspension: 160mm front / 140mm rear
What’s Awesome:
- If it rides anything like the Decoy SN… It will be RAD!! We’ve ridden that bike and would have bought it right away if it didn’t have the Fazua motor.
- YT usually has VERY good prices with awesome build options. *It feels like they might have increased their prices to compensate for the uncertainty in the US right now.
- Great looking bike!!
Not My Favorite:
- The Fazua Ride 60 motor is known to be unreliable, and Fazua hasn’t helped their situation by promising a range extender for well over a year.
- The Core 3 build includes the WIRED Sram Transmission.
- For a lightweight eMTB, it’s not that light at 44.97 pounds.
Yeti MTe
Yeti introduces the MTe, a lightweight yet capable eMTB designed around their Sixfinity suspension platform and TQ’s slim HPR60 motor—perfect for riders who want trail agility with electric assist.
- Suspension Travel: 145mm rear (with 160mm fork) for nimble trail capability.
- Wheel Configuration: 29″ stock, MX-compatible via flip-chip.
- Motor: TQ HPR 60, delivering 60 Nm torque and up to 350W power.
- Battery Options: 580 Wh (standard on C2 & T3), or a lighter 290 Wh pack on the weight-focused T4 build.
- Weight: Starting at ~38.7 lbs (17.6 kg) for the T4 build; T3 weighs around 45 lbs (~20.4 kg).
Build Options and Pricing: ()
- C2 Eagle 90 Transmission (580 Wh battery): $9,850 USD ($USD)
- T3 X0 Transmission (580 Wh): $12,650 USD
- T4 XX Transmission (290 Wh, ultralight spec): $14,300 USD
What’s Awesome:
- If you can ride the T4 build with the lighter 290 Wh battery, I bet it feels amazing (but battery life…).
- Yeti suspension usually feels great.
- The new TQ motor is what I think most fit MTB’ers really want from an eMTB.
- The build options are SOLID!
Not My Favorite:
- The 580 Wh battery that weighs in at 45 pounds is still too heavy.
- The 290 Wh battery that weighs in at 39.7 pounds has too little range.
- Jeff Kendall Weed said it’s a noisy bike.
Propain Sresh SL
Propain enters the super-light eMTB segment with the Sresh SL, blending nimble trail handling and subtle electric assistance in a carbon frame.
- Motor: TQ HPR60 unit—up to 60 Nm torque, 350 W peak power, ultra-compact and nearly silent.
- Battery System: Modular and removable—choose between 360 Wh (1.8 kg), 580 Wh (2.7 kg), plus an optional 160 Wh range extender in bottle-cage format.
- Suspension: 160 mm fork front, 150 mm rear travel with Propain’s PRO10 kinematics.
- Weight: Starting at 18.2 kg (40.1 lbs) in size M with the 360 Wh battery; builds commonly weigh 20–21 kg (~44–46 lbs) with the 580 Wh battery.
- Geometry & Wheels: Compatible with 29″ or MX setup (29″ front, 27.5″ rear) and tunes via a flip-chip for relaxed enduro geometry. Reach is ~475–480 mm on size Large.
Build Options & Pricing (North America):
- Signature Spec 1: ~$7,299 USD – Includes RockShox Bomber Z1 fork, SRAM Eagle 70 Transmission, Magura MT5 brakes.
- Signature Spec 2: ~$8,499 USD – Upgraded suspension and wheels, higher-end drivetrain components.
- You can do a CUSTOM build that is an AWESOME feature!!
Build Kits (Europe): Five curated packages range from ~€5,994 to €10,499, depending on spec and upgrades like Fox Factory fork, Reverb AXS dropper, or Shimano XTR Di2 drivetrain.
Features:
- Removable batteries allow fast charging or swapping on the go
- Sleek TQ display integrated into the top tube
- Clean cable routing option with fully hidden Sixpack stem
- Truly trail-bike feel with electric assist only when you need it
What’s Awesome:
- The hot swap removable batteries and light build options make this one of the most interesting new eMTB’s!
- The 360 Wh battery option won’t get you a ton of range, but could be nice for after work laps.
- Propain’s custom build options are some of the coolest in the industry! You can literally make this bike your own!
Not My Favorite:
- The 580 Wh battery that weighs in at 44-45 pounds is still possibly too heavy. I’ll be testing this soon!
- When you create a custom build Propain doesn’t show you the weight of the bike.
Final Thoughts: Which One Should You Consider?
- For raw power and all-day range: The Specialized Turbo Levo 4 Pro or Ari Timp Peak stand out.
- For a lightweight, playful ride: The Transition Regulator SX is INCREDIBLY FUN!!!
- For all-mountain exploration with a high pivot design: The Norco Sight VLT CX, or the Forbidden eDruid’s are very interesting.
- For range plus interesting geometry: The Transition Regulator CX feels right at home.
- For value without sacrificing performance: The Ibis Oso 1.1 offers impressive features at a competitive price.
I’ll be testing some of these in the coming months (stay tuned to the YouTube channel), but for now, it’s exciting to see how far eMTB technology has advanced.
What we are most excited about?
Of the bikes on the list, we are the most excited to test the Propain Sresh SL, and the Forbidden Druid LitE! Once we’ve tested these bikes we will crown the Best Enduro E-Bikes of 2025!
Our FAVORITE Bikes (so far)
- Transition Regulator SX – We might buy this bike!
- Transition Regulatr CX – Too heavy for what we want, but most fun full powered eMTB we’ve ridden.
- Norco Sight VLT CX – Too heavy for what we want, but incredible build quality, and is perfect for the person that wants the most range from a very capable bike.
We Are Biased! Please read!
When reading/watching our Best Enduro E-Bikes of 2025 post please take into account that we are not the target market for full powered, super heavy (45+ pounds) eMTB’s. We aren’t scared of a workout, or looking the be the fastest up the hill as a compromise for a fun downhill experience.
We value ear to ear, dirt caked grins from wild downhills on nimble bikes, over doing 5 hours of plow town laps on full powered eMTB’s. We’ll just recharge our batteries at lunch if we want over 5 hours of play time.
So, after testing MANY of the top enduro E mountain bikes over the last year, it’s clear that we personally prefer the light weight feel of the SL e-bikes. And find that the range is always more impressive than what most of the reviewers report. This seems to be due to people only using the BOOST power modes that drain the batteries the fastest, but aren’t really that much faster up the hill.
This doesn’t mean that we aren’t all for any bike that brings YOU joy, and will honestly report what we like and don’t like about each bike. Heck, we’d buy the Transition Regulator CX if we had to have a full powered eMTB. It’s a great feeling bike!
