If you told me I could have any enduro or bike park bike right now, I’d go straight for the Forbidden Dreadnought in the Mx wheel setup.
This thing is a beast in all the right ways.
I recently got the chance to demo it in both Large (S3) and XL (S4) sizes (I’m 6’1″) while riding the world-class trails in Cumberland, BC, and I was blown away. The high pivot suspension design soaks up trail chatter, handles massive hits with ease, and still manages to be playful and responsive in corners and on jumps.

I’m usually between a Large (S3) and XL (S4), and I often choose the smaller size for extra flickability and fun. The XL (S4) Dreadnought felt incredibly planted and composed, especially on steep terrain and chunky tech. I totally get why someone racing enduro or riding big mountain lines would go that route.
But for my riding style—where I want to pop off trail features, carve corners, and keep things snappy—I’d still choose the Large (S3).
If You’re Curious About Sizing…
- XL (S4): Stable, confidence-inspiring, great for racing or gnarly descents
- L (S3): Playful, fun, more maneuverable on tight trails
And yeah… this is the bike I’d buy right now if I were picking a long-travel enduro rig today.

Want to know what trail I tested it on (and the rowdy lap we called the most fun of the year)?
That’s the kind of stuff I share every week in the Feel Good Friday email.
